This is one of our Christmas menus for the festive season, obviously things can be tweaked to suit individual taste. Yes, there are sprouts!!!! Bye bye summer. Perhaps not yet. A nice September and October is on the cards. Hurrah!! Nicest time of the year for me. Bit of an Italian theme this month, my last menu for this year before starting on the Christmas rush.
The luscious Italian fruit tart is raisins soaked overnight in Pedro Ximenez, chocolate, hazelnuts & orange zest. A little goes a long way and very bad for the waistline, but far too good to miss!

Continuing with the summer theme, normally, I would never, ever use three fruits in the same menu but everything is so perfectly ripe at the moment, it seems criminal not to make the most of summer’s bounty whilst we can. Due to popular demand, sticking with the poached peaches dessert. Truly people, they are delicious!

Lovely ripe peaches have arrived. I have found a fab recipe for poached peaches, oh so simple but what fantastic flavours. OK, it does sound a bit like a Jo Malone fragrance but that’s the best way to describe it I find. Very fresh, light and a perfect way to end your al fresco supper! Cannot recommend this one enough. Great summer supper menu, hot or cold, for these lovely balmy nights.

What weather!! I don’t get it?! London, Paris, South of France - all basking in sunshine, at the same time! Even more bizarre, Yorkshire too! Don’t forget the sun tan lotion please.
Lovely, lovely cherries, apricots, peas and broadbeans arriving. Baby courgettes with flowers too. Delicious and a pleasure to browse over in the market. Get them whilst you can. Asparagus still here, but not for much longer I think.

Well, that's it. As far as I am concerned, Spring is here. Yum, yum, bring it on I say. Love this time of year, asparagus, wild strawberries, cherries and delicious apricots. I don’t know where to start.
One of my french friends has given an a old family recipe for cherry wine so I am going to give that a go. Unfortunately, I have to wait until the end of autumn (at least!) before I can sample it. Lets hope I can last that long!
